Holman, J. L. (Jonathan Lane), 1897-1975

Jonathan Lane Holman (b. Dec. 6, 1897, La Grange, Texas-d. April 3, 1975), U.S. Army officer, was commissioned in the cavalry from West Point in 1918 and served with the field artillery in France (1919-1921). He served as an instructor at West Point for five years in the early 1930s. During World War II, he was chief ordnance officer and chief of staff, Services of Supply, in the Southwest Pacific theater of operations. As the War ended, he became deputy to the assistant chief of staff for supply with the War Department General Staff. He retired in 1956.
