The Center for Population Studies was established in 1964 under the leadership of the School of Public Health to join scholars and scientists in different fields to address human population problems.The Revelle panel for the West Pakistan Project was created in 1961 as an ad hoc panel of the U.S. President's Science Advisory Committee. Professor Revelle began this project after his appointment as Director of the Center in 1964.
