Minge, David, 1942-

While in Congress Minge sponsored 54 bills, of which two were enacted: H.R. 614, which directed the Secretary of the Interior to convey to the State of Minnesota the New London (Minnesota) National Fish Hatchery production facility, and H.R. 2484, which provided that land owned by the Lower Sioux Indian Community in the State of Minnesota, but not held in trust by the United States for the Community, might be leased or transferred by the Community without further approval by the United States. Most of the other bills introduced by Minge dealt with agricultural, environmental, tax, budget, and deficit reduction issues. He also introduced measures recognizing the Hermann Monument and Hermann Heights Park in New Ulm, Minnesota as a national symbol of the contributions of Americans of German heritage.
