Unglaub, Walter G., 1918-1970.
Physician. Native of Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Unglaub received his M.D. from the University of Louisville in 1942 and performed his internship and residency at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. He was appointed to the faculty of the Tulane University Medical School in 1948. During 1960-1961 he conducted nutrition surveys in Latin American countries for the U.S. Interdepartmental Committee on Nutrition for National Defense. He later served as Associate Dean and Director of Post Graduate Medicine at Tulane, 1963-1967 and directed the Louisiana section of the National Nutrition Survey in 1968. At his death (on May 1, 1970) Dr. Unglaub was Professor of Nutrition at the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine and Director of Biomedical Communications for the Medical School.
