Woods Hole Public Library (Woods Hole, Mass.)
Woods Hole Social Library, Woods Hole, Mass., organized in 1873 with shares purchased by local families at $2.00 each. Woods Hole Public Library was founded in 1910 to provide a permanent home to the collection of the Woods Hole Social Library which had moved four times since 1873 and was dissolved. In 1974, due to the national bicentennial, there was an increasing interest in Woods Hole village history and the library formed the Woods Hole Historical Collection Committee which was later known as Woods Hole Historical Collection.
