Ramsay, Edward Bannerman, 1793-1872
Edward Bannerman Ramsay was a clergyman of the Scottish Episcopal Church and Dean of Edinburgh. He was also a writer and avid amateur botanist. John Stevens Henslow, also a botanist, is best known for being professor of botany at Cambridge and Charles Darwin's mentor.
