Leavenworth Depot and Railroad Company.

The Leavenworth Depot and Railroad Company was organized in 1887 by several railroads: Missouri Pacific Railway; Union Pacific Railway; Chicago, Rock Island, and Pacific Railway; Kansas Central Railway; Kansas City, Wyandotte, and Northwestern Railway; and the Southwestern Railway. The depot company was active until about 1960. It was only responsible for providing services and maintenance at the depot and divided costs and profits among member railways on a proportional basis.
