Massachusetts. Metropolitan Water Board
The Metropolitan Water Board was established by St 1895, c 488 to construct, maintain, and operate a system of metropolitan water works for the Metropolitan Water District, consisting of Boston and surrounding communities. In 1901 it was abolished and its functions transferred to a Metropolitan Water and Sewerage Board (St 1901, c 168).
