Massay, Glenn F.
Glenn F. Massay was born in New Brighton, Pennsylvania in 1931. He earned degrees in history from California State College (B.S., 1959), and West Virginia University (M.A., 1962 and Ph.D., 1970). Massay taught in West Virginia before pursuing a career in college administration and moving to Alaska in 1974. He became the Director of Matanuska-Susitna College and retired from that position in 2003. Massay also ran for a seat in District N of the Alaska State Senate in 1998. From 1996 to 1998, he was project director of the Alaska Governors and Senators Oral History Project, during which he conducted interviews with former Alaska governors and state senators to inquire into their changing political relationships.
