Emory University. Administrative Council.
The Administrative Council has at times been both a legislaitve body that governed the College of Arts and Sciences as well as an advisory group to the President of Emory University. Initially, the Administrative Council was made up of Faculty members and deans and was tasked with managing the curriculum, admissions, scheduling, and discipline in the College of Arts and Sciences. As the University grew, the Administrative Council became a "Council of Deans" from the various schools within the University and reported to the President or a Vice President for Academic Affairs.
