Gibbs, William David, 1869-1944.

William D. Gibbs was born in Winchester, Illinois in 1869. He received his BS and MS degrees from the Agricultural College of the University of Illinois. He later went on to earn a D. Sc. from the University of Naine in 1908. Prior to accepting the Presidency of the New Hampshire College of Agriculture and the Mechanic Arts in 1903, he had held positions as a Professor of Agriculture and Director of the Experiment Stations at New Hampshire College and A. & M. College of Texas. He left office in 1912 to return to private business.
