Ruthven & Son (New York, N.Y.)
New York City business of John Ruthven, a turner of ivory, wood, and metal, and his son, turner James Ruthven. The firm was established by Ruthven in 1783, and later bought by John F. Remmey who was in turn succeeded by his son, William T. Remmey as the firm's manager.
