Beard, Garland Washington, 1910-1995.
Beard served as Athletic Director at Auburn University, 1951-1972. He attended Alabama Polytechnic Institute (API, now Auburn University) 1928-32and became employed by the Auburn Athletic Department in 1933. Became department business manager in 1944, then director. Namesake of Auburn coliseum.
