Commission on College Physics
The Commission on College Physics (CCP) operated from 1960 to 1971. It was established at the recommendation of three national conferences on the improvement of college physics programs; members of the Commission were academic physicists. Its mission was to bring the resources of the community of physicists to the task of curriculum development, teaching, and appraisal of college physics programs throughout the United States. CCP meetings were sponsored by a grant from the National Science Foundation which ended in 1971.
