Hasselborg, Allen E., 1876-1956
Hasselborg came to Alaska in 1900 to work in the Treadwell mines. In 1917 he homesteaded at Mole Harbor on Admiralty Island. He was a guide for Alaska coastal brown bear hunters; he guided the Alexander Expeditions and as a result Hasselborg Lake was named after him. He collected specimens for the University of California Museum of Vertebrate Zoology.
