Wilton, John.
John Wilton was a patient at a California state mental hospital (Stockton State Hospital). He described himself as an important inventor in petitions for his release sent to a San Joaquin County superior court judge, the governor of California and others (1930-1932). Collection also includes drawings and descriptions of his inventions, which include a reversible rotary propellor for helicopters and ships, a puncture-proof tire and a closing tire valve.
