Park, T. W. (Trenor William), 1823-1882
Lawyer, political figure, businessman, and philanthropist; b. in Woodford, Vt.; raised in Bennington where operated several businesses; was appointed chairman of U.S. Land Commission, traveled to San Francisco, and practiced law there; returned to Vermont in 1864, also maintaining a residence in New York City; had various business interests in mines and railroads; member of Republican National Committee; later served in the Vermont State Legislature and was trustee of University of Vermont; married Laura Hall, daughter of U.S. Congressman and Vermont governor Hiland Hall.
