Episcopal Church. Diocese of Long Island
The Episcopal Church's Diocese of Long Island was founded in 1869 with the consecration of the first Bishop of Long Island. The new Diocese encompassed Kings, Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk counties, and was headquartered at 170 Remsen Street in Downtown Brooklyn.
