Warren, William Fredrick, 1840-1926.
Warren, a native of Iowa, enlisted in the 59th Illinois Infantry on August 16, 1861. He was transferred to the Mississippi Marine Brigade on January 1, 1863, was commissioned in the U. S. Army Signal Corps on March 3, 1863, and resigned as a first lieutenant and brevet captain on May 29, 1865. He became a Methodist minister, serving circuits in Colorado and then California.
