Adelman, Lucy
Lucy Adelman, 88, artist, philanthropist and activist for women’s causes and civil rights. Adelman also promoted the works of artists Janice Lowry, Hoon Kwak, Lorraine Lubner and others at her Art Space Gallery. She and her late husband, Isadore, gave generously to the ACLU Foundation and the Venice Family Clinic, which honored them at its annual fund-raising Art Walk Festival in 1988. In addition to the American Civil Liberties Union, she was active in Women’s Strike for Peace, Women’s Space, the Women’s Building
