Whitney, Peter, 1744-1816
Peter Whitney (1744-1816) was the second minister of the First Congregational Church of Northborough, Massachusetts. He had a great interest in local history and wrote The History of the County of Worcester...Massachusetts..., published by Isaiah Thomas in 1793. This volume contained the first map of Worcester County ever made from an actual survey.
