The Baptist World Alliance, founded in 1905, is an international organization of over 200 Baptist groups that cooperate for evangelism, research, missions, and humanitarian causes. The Southern Baptist Convention was one of the founding members of the Alliance. The Alliance met in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1939.
