Brooke, John Henry, 1826-1902.
John Henry Brooks was born in Lincolnshire, England in 1826 and arrived in Australia in 1853. He was a journalist and politician in Victoria and later an editor and proprietor of the Japan Daily Herald. He died in Yokohama, Japan in 1902.
