McCoy, Harold James, 1891-1956
Harold J. McCoy, a native of Minnesota, began work for the Bonners Ferry Lumber Company, Bonners Ferry, ID in 1912. Within a short time he was promoted to management positions, serving as assistant general manager during a period of merger, labor unrest, and depression in the labor industry, and was in frequent communication with the Weyerhaeuser management concerning these problems. During World War I, McCoy served in the Spruce Production Division of the U.S. Army. In the 1930s he moved to western Washington and Oregon to serve as manager for timber interests and pursue a private engineering consulting business
