World Assembly of Youth.
Founded in London in 1948 as an international youth organization coordinating democratic national youth councils; based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of the United Nations and without ideological premises, WAY aims at the solution of specific youth problems in all parts of the world; its services include training courses and technical assistance; WAY has a consultative status with the UNESCO, UNICEF and the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) and cooperates also with the Council of Europe, the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
