Keen, James William, 1842-1933.
Apprenticed with the Hudson Bay Co. from 1858-1863 mainly on the LaBouuchere. After working in the Puget Sound area, he began piloting in Alaska in 1868. In 1869 he entered the U.S. Revenue Cutter Service as pilot and retired in 1915. He died in Seattle in September 1933.
