Indian Rights Association. Cambridge Branch (Cambridge, Mass.)
Founded 1885 in Cambridge, Mass., as branch of the national organization started in Philadelphia some years earlier; organized to disseminate information about North American Indian tribes, fund raise to support various Indian activities, and lobby politicians on behalf of legislation and treaties; also known as Indian Rights Association of Cambridge. First president was Rev. Samuel Longfellow.
