Remsberg, Bonnie
Bonnie Remsberg graduated from Northwestern University in speech and theater and for four decades was a freelance journalist, living in the Chicago area. She published over 1,000 articles for magazines such as: "Reader's Digest", "Ladies' Home Journal", "Redbook", "Good Housekeeping", and "Consumers Reports" in the 1960s through the 1980s. She produced scripts for television, motion pictures, video, and documentaries. She hosted a talk show for CBS-TV in Chicago, and taught writing at various universities such as Stanford and University of Chicago. She wrote several books including, "The Stress Proof Child: a Loving Parent's Guide" (1986) and "Mom, Dad, Mike, and Patti: the True Story of the Columbo Murders" (1992). Her partner, Charles Remsberg, was a police reporter who became a freelance journalist and author, specializing in crime stories and publishing in magazines such as "True", "True Detective", and "Esquire". Together they established Byline, Inc. in the 1970s through which they ran their freelance business. Charles co-founded and co-owned the Calibre Press, 1979-1999, that specialized in the production of training materials for law enforcement.
