Stewart, Raymond R. (Raymond Riggs), 1910-1995
Ray Stewart, a native of West Virginia, served in the Navy during World War II and received degrees from Denver University and Syracuse University. Stewart was hired by WOI-TV at Iowa State University as a television producer/director in 1952. He served as a researcher, cinematographer, and narrator, as well as film editor and scriptwriter for the series, "Know Your State Institutions," which was eventually broadcast at "In Our Care." After leaving WOI in 1955, Stewart went on to work as a public affairs director at stations in West Virginia and Pennsylvania, and also worked as an independent film producer and photographer until his retirement.
