.F. Spalding Hotel (Portland, Or.)
Helen F. Spalding was a longtime literature teacher at Portland High School and successful real estate investor. In 1895, she took over management of her hotel building and renamed it for herself. In 1901, she retired from management and doesn't appear in the Portland City Directories after 1905.
