Piney River & Paint Creek Railroad Company
The company was incorporated in West Virginia on May 26, 1905. June 25, 1918 conveyed by deed to The Chesapeake and Ohio Railway Company.
1905-1906 constructed railroad from Beckley Junction, WV to Prosperity, WV. March 1, 1906 began operation of railroad. November 12, 1912 leased to Virginian Railway and operated by The Chesapeake and Ohio Railway Company. 1917 controlled by The Chesapeake and Ohio Railway Company. December 28, 1917 operated by U.S. Railroad Administration.
