Lee, William, Sir, 1688-1754
Sir William Lee studied at Oxford and then at the Inner Temple, of which he was elected a bencher in 1725. He was sworn in as a puisne judge of the King's Bench in 1730, and later succeeded his patron Lord Hardwicke as chief justice.
