Pennsylvania State University. Comparative Literature Luncheon Club
The Comparative Literature Luncheon is a group of literary enthusiasts made up of faculty, students, and other members of the Pennsylvania State University community who meet weekly for lunch. Each week there is a twenty-minute presentation by a visitor or a local speaker on a topic related to any humanities discipline. Recordings of these presentations are broadcast on the regional cable network for educational and government programming. The group began meeting in 1947 as the Comparative Literature Luncheon Club, and circa 1955 changed their name to the Comparative Literature Research Luncheon Group; later it became the Comparative Literature Luncheon.
