Boskin, Michael J.

Michael J. Boskin was born September 23, 1945, in New York City. He has held the post of professor at both Stanford and Harvard universities during the 1970s and 1980s, and held a position as faculty research fellow at Mellon University in 1973. In 1987 and 1988, he was director of the Center for Economic Policy Research, and from 1989 to 1993, served as chairman of the President's Council of Economic Advisers. He is the author of Too Many Promises: The Uncertain Future of Social Security (1986) and Reagan and the Economy: Successes, Failures Unfinished Agenda (1987).
