Troen, Roger.
Roger Troen was an early "out-of-the-closet" gay activist in Portland and Multnomah County, Oregon. He conducted an unsuccessful run for the Oregon House of Representatives in 1972 as an early openly gay candidate. Troen collected a variety of materials from the 1970s that documented the earlier stages of the gay liberation movement.
