College for Struggle.
In 1971 the College for Struggle was founded with the purpose of providing "ideological and technical training" for African Americans. Through the ideology of Pan-Africanism, the San Francisco school attempted to provide a framework in which education was directly relevant to the needs of the African American community. The College's curriculum included two year programs in bio-medics, engineering, and communications.
