Chauncey family.

Charles Chauncey was born in Durham, Connecticut on June 11, 1747. He graduated from Yale College (A.M., 1779) and Middlebury College (LL.D., 1811). He practiced law in New Haven, Connecticut, became state's attorney in 1776, served as judge of the superior court from 1789-1793, and founded the first agricultural society in Connecticut. He died in New Haven on April 28, 1823.

Charles Chauncey was born on August 17, 1777 in New Haven, Connecticut. He graduated from Yale College in 1792 and received the degree of LL.D. in 1827. He practiced law in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania until his death in Burlington, New Jersey on August 30, 1849.
