Joel Foote Bingham; from 1852-1858, proprietor and principal of a boys' preparatory school in New York; in 1860 became a pastor in Buffalo, New York; in 1867 moved to First Parish Church, Augusta, Maine; in 1871 entered ministry of the Episcopal Church and served at St. John's Church, Portsmouth, N.H., St. John's Church, Waterbury, Ct., and St. James' Church, New London, Ct.; author and lecturer.
