Plaggemeyer, John R. 1944-
Plaggemeyer was born on Sept. 18, 1944 in Linton, ND. After high school graduation in 1962, he enlisted and served in the Army (Rank: E-4) for three years, working on missile bases in Texas and Germany. He joined Wildlife Services, formerly known as Animal Damage Control under the Fish and Wildlife Service, in 1965 and worked out of Langdon, ND (1965-1967), then Cavalier (1967-1968) and finally transferred to New England (1968) until his retirement in 1999. An avid outdoorsman, proud grandfather and dedicated human services volunteer, Plaggemeyer and his wife Linda, married since 1967, raised two children.
