Georgia. State Commission to Revise the Constitution
In March of 1943, the Georgia General Assembly passed a resolution, sponsored by Governor Ellis Arnall, for a commission of twenty-three members to revise the state's constitution. The new constitution was submitted to the Georgia General Assembly in January of 1945 and approved by the people of Georgia in a special election of August 7, 1945.
