Agnew, James, 1769-1855
James Agnew; born in Adams Co., Pa., 1769; officer during American Revolution (referred to as Col. Agnew in incoming correspondence); later merchant at McConnelsburg, Pa.; father of Samuel Agnew, a founder of the Presbyterian Historical Society.
