Hunter, John Harrison, 1830-
A physician and C.S.A. surgeon, Hunter served in military hospitals in Virginia, West Virginia and North Carolina, was field surgeon with Stonewall Jackson's 42nd Regt., Virginia Volunteers during the Valley campaign, March-May 1862, and chaired a medical examining board for conscripts in Tennessee.
