Grant, Ellsworth S.
Born in Wethersfield, Connecticut in 1917, Grant spent his entire life in the state except for four years at Harvard University. From 1940-1958 he worked for Allen Manufacturing Company in Hartford and then for Connecticut Manifold Forms Co., which later merged with Allied Paper Co. He founded the Hartford Small Plant Medical Service in 1946. Locally he is noted for his numerous monographs on Connecticut history. Grant lived in West Hartford for most of his adult life.
