Salisbury, E. J. (Edward James), Sir, 1886-
Salisbury was lecturer and later (1929- ) the Quain Professor of botany at the University of London, director of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew (1943-1956), and for a time the secretary of the British Ecological Society.
