Bliss, Anthony A., 1913-1991
Anthony A. Bliss, a lawyer and patron of the arts, was elected chairman of the board of directors of the Foundation for American Dance, the parent organization of the City Center Joffrey Ballet, in 1970. The Foundation for the Joffrey Ballet was later formed, and Bliss served as chairman of its board. He resigned from the Joffrey board in May, 1990.
