Bell, H. W. (Harold Wilmerding), collector.
Harold Wilmerding Bell (1885-1947) was an archaeologist and a collector of books and manuscripts relating to the fictional character, Sherlock Holmes, created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Bells collection of Sherlockiana was bequeathed to a Boston mens literary club called the Speckled Band.
