United States National Student Association. Southern Student Human Relations Project.

The United States National Student Association (USNSA) was founded in 1947 to assist students in their quest for education regardless of race, sex, and religious or political beliefs. In 1958, USNSA held the first of its Southern Student Human Relations Seminars (SSHRS) directed by Ray Farabee. By 1959, the USNSA created the Southern Student Human Relations Project funded by the Marshall Field Foundation and responsible for the annual SSHRS as well as other human relations workshops. When funding ceased in 1968, the project closed.
