Brinsmead-Hungerford, Hesba
H.F. Brinsmead has written stories, articles and radio talks. Her first book "Pastures of the blue crane" won the Mary Gilmore Medal and was chosen as best children's book of the year in 1964 and in 1972 her book "The long time folk" was chosen as best children's book of the year.
