Music industry executive. Born March 1, 1917. Died January 17, 1998. Full name: Clifford Gilpin Snyder. West Coast radio performer and studio bass player. Host of Hometown Jamboree radio and television shows. Capitol Records producer, late 1940s-early 1950s. Songwriter and publisher (Central Songs). Managed career for Tennessee Ernie Ford, 1951-1960. Member, Country Music Hall of Fame.
