Walkingstick, Kay
Kay WalkingStick (Cherokee) was born in 1935. An artist and professor of Art at Cornell University. She was the first Native American artist represented in the Metropolitan Museum of Fine Art's permanent collection and was included in Jansen's History of Art, fifth edition. Her style combines elements of Neo-Expressionism and Neo-Abstraction in her work. WalkingStick is represented in the Heard Museum's permanent collection.
